fog coming in. fog going out.

The fog was moving in fast and moving out fast this morning. The beach would be freezing and then very warm.

phil -- the water is cold. in the 50s. and there is a nasty rip current. i'm always surprised when i see people swimming or body surfing there. on the other hand, it's a good surf spot and there are a lot of surfers in the water (you just can't see them in this shot).

brenda, it is rare for the fog on the coast here to get "soupy" or touch the ground and make it difficult to drive. (that happens more inland). so, it isn't difficult or dangerous.

Great shot! I love Moro Rock. I recognized it immediately.

I was just there myself -- a couple of weeks ago. We were visiting family for a high school graduation. We took the kids to play at a little outdoor park in the late morning and I was hoping to get a shot like this afterwards. Our relatives (who live there) told me they were afraid we wouldn't have "good weather", but that we lucked out and the fog was mostly gone. I, on the other hand, had seen the fog from a distance and had hoped it would hang on until we were able to get over to Moro Rock. *sigh*
