    Private, 10th Ohio Battery
    Mustered in under Captain H. Berlace White on March 3rd, 1862, the unit served at Shiloh, seige of Corinth, battle of Corinth, Vicksburg, Kenesaw Mountain and Nickajack Creek. The Battery mustered out on July 17th, 1865 at Camp Dennison.

    10th Ohio Independent Battery was an artillery battery that served in the Union Army during the American Civil War.

    The battery was organized in Xenia, Ohio January 9, 1862 and mustered in at Camp Dennison near Cincinnati, Ohio for a three year enlistment on March 3, 1862. The battery lost a total of 18 enlisted men during service, all due to disease.

    Married Mary Haun, born February 10, 1843 in Prussia, Germany, died March 9, 1931 in Cincinnati.

    Their Children:Charles b/1867, William b/1868, George b/1870, Margaretha b/1874, Paul b/1876 & Sophie b/1879.

    Frederick & brother Charles owned a shoe repair shop in Cinn.,OH.

    Frederick came to America at age 16 arriving on Oct. 3, 1856. Fought in the Union Army.
