I traveled through TIBET for 6 weeks, that was 9 years ago.

That was an experience i'l never forget in this lifetime. In TIBET i got addicted to photography.

The people of TIBET needs much more attention.

FREE TIBET

Caro amico
Qui puoi trovare delle informazioni sulla situazione in Tibet che vengono dalla International Campaign for Tibet.
Questo organismo afferma che c’è da essere estremamente preoccupati circa le notizie riportate dall’interno del Tibet, dove la situazione peggiora continuamente.
Queste notizie da fonti attendibili testimoniano di arresti di massa, perquisizioni e ricerche casa-per-casa e di percosse.
Le cause alla radice di questa situazione devono essere ben chiare: risentimento e amarezza a lungo covate che vengono a galla mentre il governo cinese e i media non fanno nulla per calmare la situazione.
Il Dalai Lama è un uomo di pace che è pienamente dedito alla non-violenza e occorre che sia da noi sostenutoin questa ora di bisogno.
Si può dare una mano contattando il vostro rappresentante politico, spiegando l’urgente situazione in Tibet e chiedendo di appellarsi alla Cina per fare ciò che segue:
 Permettere l’accesso in tutte le aree tibetane a osservatori internazionali e giornalisti indipendenti
 Astenersi dall’uso della violenza di fronte a proteste pacifiche dei Tibetani
 Astenersi dall’uso della tortura e/ di altri trattamenti degradanti
 Cominciare un sostanziale e significativo dialogo con il Dalai Lama e i suoi inviati, per portare cambiamenti durevoli e pace in Tibet.
La Cina ha l’onore di ospitare le Olimpiadi quest’anno. Tuttavia possiamo appellarci allo IOC ( Comitato olimpico internazionale) perché ponga l’urgenza di ritirare il Tibet dal percorso della fiaccola olimpica al Comitato Organizzatore, per questioni umanitarie. Il passaggio della fiaccola sarà visto come una provocazione alla popolazione tibetana e potrebbe perciò portare ad ulteriori disordini, tensioni e quindi più violenze e arresti.
Possiamo inoltre fare appello a politici e pubbliche personalità di astenersi dal partecipare alla cerimoia di apertura dei giochi quale espressione di preoccupazione per le violazioni dei diritti umani in Tibet; in particolare perché la cerimonia di apertura servirà alla Cina come un palcoscenico, per presentarsi all’opinione pubblica mondiale come paese ospitante con una buona immagine.
