Victorian machine shop (3)

Victorian machine shop (3) by Elsie esq..
Yes yet another one! I spent ages looking at the incredible workmanship in this superb model. Having spent a good deal of my life in various machine shops (none of them as old as this one!) I found much of interest. Some of these old machine tools were so well built that they were fitted with individual motors once the lineshafting came down . In the foreground of this picture can be seen a Nasmyth steam hammer, the only tool not to have a belt drive to it!!!
