love my handles

love my handles by Eloh Eliot.
Re: this controversy; here's what my regular shape (left) looks next to a [semi-]Gracie-ified shape (right), specifically wearing an outfit that contains a system skirt (PixelDolls).

Here are the numbers:

Eloh vs. [semi-]Gracie-ified (diff)

Height:
32 vs 75 (+43)

Body Thickness
7 vs 6 (-1)

Body Fat
7 vs 7 (0)

Torso Muscles
38 vs 38 (0)

Shoulders
40 vs 40 (0)

Breast Size
20 vs 35 (+15)

Arms Length*
82 vs 82 (0)

Torso Length
33 vs 44 (+11)

Love Handles
40 vs 16 (-24)

Leg Muscles
40 vs 40 (0)

Leg Length*
45 vs 45 (0)

Hip Width
50 vs 48 (-2)

Hip Length
42 vs 36 (-6)

Butt Size
24 vs 24 (0)

Saddle Bags
30 vs 24 (-6)

Foot Size
0 vs 0 (0)

* = denotes where I did not follow Gracie parameters

In conclusion, my avatar's abundance of shortness and love handles unfortunately overqualifies me [my avatar] for this position of Gracie model—but otherwise the other Gracie Girl shape parameters are fairly close to what I already have.

Yes, this shape was made for system skirts.

This kind of shape was very popular when I first started out in SL, but it is going out of fashion. I've noticed avis are getting smaller and more curvy with less fear of the body fat slider.

If it were not for difference of bodies and faces, the avatars we know woud NOT be so easily recognisable as distinctive individuals.. I love the differences.. and wish to see more differences that are inacted as opposed to the homogeny which thrives in the "embarassment" of how the system would interpret it.. wether it be a social system or a computer system.. (system skirts as opposed to prim ones as an example ;))

AlterEgo raises an interesting paradox in SL... we have more choice of identity than one can remotely imagine in RL --- gender & ethnicity are just a click away -- orientation, spirituality, ideology don't even require a mouse click, just a mental projection.

And, of course, it's just as easy to be a Frog Prince, Kenny from South Park, or The Sun!

Yet for the almost infinite diversity possible... an awful lot of us occupy the narrowest range of Western beauty stereotypes.

Crazy!

(and, of course, having said that... I can't wait to wear Eloh's new Starlight skin! :)
