Chicago from 1,000 Feet

Epic shot from 100 stories above Chicago. For some reason without much explanation, tripods were not allowed. At first I thought it was a huge bummer, but then I realized that this was the most awkwardly lit room in the world and setting up on a tripod would have put me too far from the glass allowing too many reflections. They had christmas lights everywhere, which I don't entirely understand since they cause awful reflections all over the windows of a room that has the sole purpose of looking out.

That being said, we make the best of out of everything, so I set up a mini homemade tripod using coffee cups on the floor, with the lens hood touching the glass.

Ingenuity.
