My wife and I headed to Ballard to see the new Studio Ghibli movie. Not surprisingly, it was sold out. We headed to Goodwill where I found this treasure.

It's a stunningly beautiful pictorial map of Western Washington. Preliminary study suggests it dates from between 1940 and 1951. It depict US 10 crossing on the Lake Washington floating bridge (finished 1940) and what appears to be old Black Ball ferry routes (sold to the state in 1951). I'll see if I can pin it down more exactly. I'm super excite by this map. Also of note is the very cool border. I'll post higher res photos soon.
