The same viewfinder, but different views.
We opened the camera today!!! (see picture in comments) If you're wondering what that means, essentially, we sent a disposable camera all over the world. The idea was to capture the lives of others and bring them together through photography.
Well, it was amazing. The pictures are being are being developed right now, but receiving and opening the package was one of the most incredible experiences we have gone through. It was so sweet and heartfelt and so many people put so much care into it. To sum it, it was such a success that we're going to send out two more cameras!
Interested?
The rules are:
-We are going to send out two disposable camera, with 27 exposures each.
-We will send each one to nine people, who each get to take three photos. If you take more, then other people won’t get to take any! So please, only three.
-These people will be picked randomly.
-If you want to enter (no skill level is required, only a love of photography), just put your first and last name in the comments of this photo.
-We'll be drawing the participants in two weeks, on January 27th/.
-You can enter no matter where you live!
We will send each camera in a box, along with a mailing list, so everyone knows where to send it next. You will need to pay for shipping, so don’t enter if you don’t want to pay. You can put anything you want in the box with the camera, whether it be prints, or writing, or drawings, bracelets, etc. On the last package, people were so creative and lovely that it made the project really exciting! Just remember, the heavier the box, the more shipping will be.
When the cameras are done, they will be sent back to us, and we’ll develop them. We’ll create a website where you can see all the photos, and we will try to scan in anything else that gets put in the boxes.
Please enter, and have fun! This was such an incredible experience for us, and the more people we can involve, the better.
Good luck!
