NASHIK - Meditation

He came on the bank of the river, sat in the lotus position and let him fall in the water. From that moment, he was absolutly still, floating amidst the offerings people was doing for the occasion of mahashivaratri festival. I was hypnotised… After exactly 30 mn, he walked away without a glance... I went back next day at same time, he was nowhere to be seen. Incredible india…

Il s'est assis en lotus dos à la rivière et s'est laissé tomber en arrière dans un grand splash. A partir de ce moment, il est resté parfaitement immobile, flottant au milieu des offrandes que les gens déposaient dans la Godavari à l'occasion du festival de Mahashivaratri. J'étais hypnotisée… Au bout de exactement 30mn, il est parti sans un regard…. Incredible India…

Orchha - The fruit seller aux yeux clairs

Il était trop craquant ce môme… C'est à lui que j'achetais mes fruits le matin, lors de mon séjour dans cette petite ville fort agréable.. Petite précision : le coin jaune à droite, ce sont des bananes accrochées à la devanture de la boutique.

Orchha - Morning

The same sadhu than the two previous pictures, preparing his daily puja. He displays his holy books, musical instruments and parapharnelia needed for his worship, there, on the ground. So simple... As usual in most places in India, cows come and go freely all day long. They have their own life :)

Le même sadhu que dans les deux images précédentes. Ici Ramdas installe ses instruments de musiques, ses livres sacrés sur lesquels il va accomplir son rituel quotidien. Tout est posé au sol, tout simplement… Comme souvent en Inde, les vaches vont et viennent librement. Elles mènent leur vie…

Orchha - Aachaman

Sprinkling water in the four directions to freshen the universe, that's what Ramdas is doing every morning in front of the fort entrance in Orchha. I loved his smile, he never asked money to the tourists taking quick snapshots on their way to the fort, wich I liked also. A beautiful Sitaram baba..
