Cast-On Badge (Medical Attention I): Once I was knitting socks on size 0 dpns backstage in the dark. I dropped a needle, and fearing it would make a loud noise as it hit the ground (it was metal), I grabbed for it and stabbed it through the flesh of my thumb.
