Bins on Thistle Street North West Lane

Yes, I really did photograph some bins (I liked the colours, they just happened to be bins). Like Madonna said, beauty's where you find it. There is a precedent for a spot of coloured bin photography.

The Scotch Whisky Experience

The scene of one of my early HDR images. I think this one has better processing but less cool reflections from the wet cobbles.

I had a hell of a time trying to get the shots for this. Up to the right is Edinburgh Castle and if you're wondering what time of day there are no people wandering by (and straight into shot) the answer is never!
