11.04.09 {the purple pinafore}

I have been in a little sewing frenzy the past few evenings, creating one of the pieces on my fall wardrobe list! This piece is made from a 1930s pinafore/sundress pattern. It's a bit of a different style than I normally gravitate towards--strong, horizontal lines across my hips aren't high on my list of favored styles. But it was worth the little experiment! Plus, I love the fact that I can either layer it over a blouse or wear as a sundress! :)
