Project 365 - Photo #8 YARN!

Project 365 - Photo #8 YARN! by Elabeth.
How long did you guys really think I could go without using a picture of some yarn? I guess the answer is about a week. haha I've been knitting some today, but I couldn't show what I'm working on because it's a secret swap project so you get to see some of the stash sitting neatly on it's' shelf in the yarn room. I only have the one skein of that crazy pink color.

This looks like Lamb's Pride; I love the sheen on the pink yarn--great contrast and composition!

I completely agree with Anikarenina - the contrast and composition is wonderful! I like that it's close enough, with good focus, that you can see the fuzz on the yarn.

I love the color combination! I would do a fun pair of mittens or a hat with some of the dark colors and a smidge of intarsia using the hot pink.

Most of it is Lamb's Pride Bulky. The stuff in the top right is Cotton Fleece.

Woohoo! I guessed right!

It's the color depth of the Lamb's Pride that gives it away. Every time I'm in the LYS I'm magnetically attracted to that lovely stuff. But I don't really like to wear it all that much; it's a little scratchier than I care for, so I usually use it for felting.

It softens up after you've worn it a while and it has shed out like half the mohair. I have a hat I made that I didn't like to wear at first because it gave me an itchy face, but after I'd washed it a couple times and worn it the itch went away.
