I like those three guys...they were cool........I have Robin and the 7 Hoods did you see that one???...and am gonna get the original Ocean's 11... did you see that one???....my favorite was Dean Martin... ...great singer...beautiful georgeous sexy handsome man..no one like him...when he died it ruined my day,,,,,,cried for 2 1/2 hours got any of his music????....email me

No, the real, true name is the Clan. Everyone assumed it was the Rat Pack, which actually had Humphrey Bogart in it. An older pack of people. Sinatra, Martin and the others called themselves the Clan. Mistaken fans and press called them the Rat Pack. So, it stuck.

So everyone is wrong? only Sinatra, and his friends (and obviously you) are right? :)- thank you for the insight, I would have never known about the Bogart thing:)

They used the name Clan. (They meaning Sinatra, Sammy, Lawford and Dean.) The original Rat Pack had older actors in it, Humphrey being the lead in it. The Rat pack name just continued on, though they did name themselves the clan. I prefer Rat Pack. It's what I'm used to as well. :)
