I mashed this together from a free map found at http://www.eduplace.com/ss/maps/usa.html, and the number of electoral votes for each state. You can watch the presidential election returns and keep track as they come in, or you can start coloring ahead of time as you imagine different scenarios.
The number of electoral college votes for each state is based on population figures from the 2000 census. There are 538 votes total. A majority of 270 is needed to win.
Happy coloring!

I was very excited to find this, share it with my 4th grade son, and help him learn which states to color as we watched events unfold on CNN. Unfortunately, being on the east coast, I had to put him to bed at about 9:30 for school the next day. But it was already pretty clear that Obama was going to win by then, and I got to tell him the next morning. I'll never forget how interested I was by coloring in an Electoral College map, given to me by MY 4th grade teacher, 32 years ago. Being in California that year, I got to color in almost everything before my mom made *me* go to bed....

Headed to a neighbor's house to watch the results. Map and color pencils in hand!
