what's that dilapidated hiking boot doing among the roasted alligat'rs?
Our family friend Felix used to stay there on his business trips to South Am'rica.

      Wow!

There was a place in Pacific Grove, Calif., that used to serve the *best* gator gumbo. Man... I could use some right now!

I'm sure this was one of the more normal dishes served at that dinner.

And to think, I was bothered when eating trout with the head attached... yikes!

it looks like the alligatr died in pain of the oven heat, observing the curve of the body.

Gator has become quite a treat in the south again now that limited harvesting has been allowed. Bar-b-qued gator ribs are wonderful.

And no, its not like chicken. Its more like calamari.

I'm assuming alligator tastes pretty similar to crocodile, which gets served quite often in Australian restaurants ( especially those trying to push "indigenous" cuisine ). It's actually pretty tasty... a nice white meat similar to fish with a texture a little like squid.

Although i think oven roasting a whole crocodile might be a bit of an effort.

Sorta like gamy chicken bubble gum. Very good, but chewy if not prepared exactly right.

I'd bet I could fit a good sized chunk of gator in my big green egg.

Chicken... yeah, the marginal meats in the matrix had to rely on simple inheritance. So they all taste like the root object.
