with point and shoot cameras its all about the picture. this vip p&s has exposure compensation which is nice and manual focus and aperture priority but i just don't bother with any of it. speed and small camera size helps more than technical things with models.
i need to spend far more time thinking about my model's expressions and far less about photographic technique. this kid was perfect. i have far too many wedding photos with people smiling. its just not real. this kid is as he is, open. from now on i'm going to hold back from pressing fire buttons if i detect the slightest hint of camera influence on the model.
i don't want wedding photos. i only want photos. that just happen to have been taken in a wedding. why the basic ideas of portraiture should be thrown out by wedding many photographers just for money is wholy understandable and profitable but it is still dreadful.

my new nuclear flash look for wedding photos. the models have to cover their eyes not to be temporarily blinded. f8 100 iso. they suffer optically but its much easier for me.
i also guarantee that local small town wedding photographer demon red eyes look on color film i had never managed to achieve before. its always been very successful for photographers looking to sign exclusive deals in restaurants and churches here in spain to get all weddings in the venue. no red eyes no deal i understand, however high the bribe you tryt to pay to the corrupt priests (who spend it on the same things berlusconi spends his money on, i also understand).

Using only chinese films in weddings is like using only russian cameras. its atmosphere more than anything that you get.i have no interest in photocopying reality. with the world's cheapest and worst chinese film any point and shoot zoom front on auto flash panoramic camera with slow lens suddenly seems to make sense.
