Some changing table tricksKeep the lights low and relaxing. Get a lamp that spreads different light around the room. Cheap paper towels - for spills :-) Quick-drying muslin. For drying off skin in a couple of dabs. A clean nappy in an easy-to-reach place. We've found Huggies to be the best ones so far. A clean sheet of paper towel until you get it all cleaned up - stops the clothes getting covered with any 'residue' or drops when it comes to buttoning back up. Cotton wool balls - loads of them, for dipping in water to clean the skin. Detoll Surface Cleaner - speaks for itself. Thermos of warm water into which you dip your cotton wool - means you don't have to remember to get it first before you bring the baby through. Thermos lid - it's just the right amount of warm water to clean one bum. An important spot - you put the dirty stuff here while you clean up. Place it higher and little hands start to investigate what's inside. And that means yet another thing to clean. ![]()

The thermos is a good idea too. One addition
I have - put a mirror on the wall or
something to distract baby while you are
changing his diaper. Especially once baby is
a toddler and a routine diaper change can
turn into a professional wrestling match! Would you like to comment?Sign up for a free account, or sign in (if you're already a member). |

good tip with the thermos - thanks! cotton wool can be a bit fiddly and tedious, we found using washable fleece wipes super handy, they scoop it all up in a oner!
