Comet Lulin in Moonlight 3/5/09, moves in 5 minutes

Comet elongation shows movement in five minutes.

The Gibbous Moon was not far away, Los Angeles light pollution even closer.

See adjacent image for slightly different processing.

Comet Lulin is fading from about magnitude 5.5 to 6.5 this week, as it moves away from both Earth and Sun. There's bright moonlight in the sky until about March 13th.

Dim stars here are Mag 15

No Darks, x8, 30sec, ISO800, + CGSat 8:47- 8:52 pst

My vote for the best dark site Lulin picture, taken with a C11and Canon 350D = www.zianet.com/rrichins2/Lulin2.jpg Best movie= www.youtube.com/watch?v=4ylpdlwIx5o
