10th Avenue From the High Line

This was one of the things that most struck me about the High Line: a set of ramps that serves as seating for a window onto 10th Avenue. This in itself radically transforms the avenue's context, turning a street that's been viewed as utilitarian if not pedestrian into an object of aesthetic enjoyment. In other words: 10th Avenue is cool.
