Corn-etery

Corn-etery by edcrowle.
Cemetery near Fischer, IL surrounded on all sides by corn fields -- ya gotta walk from a small rural road to get to it.

Ya also gotta keep walking until you find something worth photographing.

I bet if you got all the way into the cemetary and found a cool statue to photo it would still get deleted. Are those headstones or blobs of light?

hard to tell what the subject of the image is. fore- and background are competing for attention and neither are remarkable.

It doesn't seem like you knew what you wanted to do when you took this photo. If it is about the corn why are there a bunch of gravestones in the background? If it's about the corn, why are there so many stalks of corn obstructing the view?

That and the lighting is just bad. It's directly overhead so there's no interesting shadows and it's way too harsh.

nothing special about corn or graves -- it's the juxtaposition i wanted. the sun was at 45, but shadows aren't visible from this perspective. thanks to those providing criticism that i can work with.. just felt like throwing some meat to the pack of wolves today :^)

I like the idea of the corn-headstone juxtaposition but I don't have the sense of the picture really telling me anything about that relationship. It's just corn and headstones in a picture together.
