    This is the sharp end of a Russian 2K12 "Kub" Surface to Air missile launcher. It's NATO designation is SA-6 Gainful (Wikipedia link). Seen at the St Petersburg Artillery museum.

      For some reason this reminded me of strolling as a child through the war memorial around the feet of Mother Russia.
