Blue Eyes Crying
Fun with dew drops on the way to work yesterday. A little help from Kyoto Color filter by Flaming Pear. But not much. The color is pretty close to original. The morning sun is reflected on the surface of both dew drops. The blue sky is refracted in the bottom of each drop. A good example of the difference between reflection and refraction. The blue is coming through the water lens and being inverted whereas the sun is behind the camera being reflected back from the surface.
Somehow this humble photo has made it to the top 20 on digg.com today. I appreciate all of your diggs, for sure, and to the folks who don't like/say they have seen better, indeed, there are much better examples of refraction in my own collection and the work of others on flickr. Check out my thousand drops of light set for links to the masters of this idiom.
