gotta see this large... | original | My top 100
It has been some time since I posted a new dewdrop. Hope you like it. Shot this morning at seven am as I was waking and thinking about politics. I became distracted by the scattered light on the lawn. The flower is a bluebell. very small, perhaps 2-3mm in diameter.
Dewdrops are very tiny. Average cameras will not capture this well. Look for a camera with a good macro function if you are using point and shoot. In DSLR get a macro lens.
This is cropped from an unaided Canon G10 Macro mode RAW shot. Love this camera.
If you like drops, check out my set of over 1000 dropshots called A Thousand Drops of Light.
Dewdrops are lenses. the image you see is not a reflection. It is light passing through the water drop. The waterdrop is a lens. This is a "refraction" have fun.
Hail the jewel in the lotus!
