When Your Love Falls On Me

Taken during my trip to Seoul, South Korea in August 2009.

Dedicated to my knight in rusty armour.

My first ever shot that has been in the 'digital post-production centre' aka PS for more than 10 minutes. ^_^ And one of my most favorites, ever! (:

The woman in the shot is my sister-in-law. I'm so happy my cousins go all over the world and marry pretty women/men! <3 Makes my family such a global hub!

Heh, yes I do - although we still haven't managed to cover all the major countries!

I used to have a teacher back in school who had three sons and a daughter, and they were all married and settled in different countries. One in South Africa, one in UK, one in US and so on. The funny bit was that every year, she would take two months off school and go on a round trip across the world to visit her children. Now, THAT is truly multinational.

I simply used a texture of heart-shaped bokeh and played with the details. Took me a whole night to get what I wanted, but I'm thrilled with the product. I'm really not the kind of person who enjoys post-production as much as the real production process, but this was dandy! Plus, a dream shot! (:

No, I don't particularly *enjoy* photoshopping. It's time-consuming and annoying. Moreover, it takes away the drive to get the absolute perfect shot within the camera, which is what I've always done since I knew I wouldn't be able to change anything (other than a teeny bit of contrast/brightness/saturation) during post-production. THIS took me a whole night.. a whole EFFING night!

Nonetheless, thanks for loving it. This was probably one of the few shots that I planned on photoshopping intensely while I was shooting, so I'm glad it turned out to be okay. (=
