easyMandarin Goes West - Xinjiang Feast, Belly Dancers, and More... |
On Thursday, March 25, students and
teachers feasted at a Xinjiang
restaurant in Shanghai - they enjoyed
great tasting Muslim food from
Northwestern China as well as music and
belly dancing from the Chinese Uyghur
ethnic minority. Everyone had a blast
as folk songs were sung and the
beautiful belly dancers magically
wiggled their hips. Students from
overseas don’t want to just learn
Mandarin in Shanghai, but they also want
to experience the diverse culture
offered in this vibrant city and
country. This was definitely a cultural
night to remember for everyone.
