Interesting, "The Toyota Tacoma is a
compact pickup truck manufactured by the
Toyota Motor Company" from wikipedia.
I know... I live in Bellevue. Microsoft
employees are infamous for having poor
driving habit.

All those trucks remind me of the South.

I once parked my car in a spot marked for
compact (it was), and a woman in a yellow
Nissan Pathfinder decided to try to squeeze
into the (also compact) spot next to me. I
came out of the store to find a nice yellow
mark across the side of my car. Yikes.

oh come on V, sometimes there aren't enough
regular/large size spots for bigger cars...
be glad he didn't do the right thing and take
up two spots

As a pickup owner, I always sympathize ...
mostly because the American auto industry
refuses to make a smaller truck for
city-dwellers. By truck standards, something
like the (older!) Tacoma and the Ford Ranger
are compact but far from the diminutive
stature of the much older Japanese import
trucks ...

I drive a Jetta and always feel that I can't
and shouldn't park in those spots. It's
amazing what a few miles and cheap gasoline
does to change your perception of the world
you live in. Trucks are trucks and can never
be compacts, it's just not logical. It's
almost as bad as when I see guys getting out
of their Hummers after parking them in the
Mom & Child spot.

Over here in eastern Washington state, a
non-extended cab Toyota Tacoma IS a compact.
So really, the irony here is you taking
photos at Microsoft with an iPhone. =)

is a "truck" for the city dwellers,
It's called an El Camino. ; )

The other day I saw the opposite of this
photo. I was trying to find parking and saw a
small compact hatchback had taken up two
spots. If only I had my camera, I could pair
it up with this photo. Actually, I wish I had
a pen and piece a paper...so I could leave
the driver a lovely note. :)

smaller. Deserves any dents it receives.

The Toyota Tacoma is a compact truck.
Wheelbase isn't much wider than most cars.
Just sit inside, you feel just as
claustrophobic as any econo-box.
