Darkness Southwest

As I was doing my usual flickring last night, the lights went out. Seeing that it was only 10pm, I tried to figure out what to do.

Being on the border of the area affected, you could tell which buildings were plugged in to the working grid.

Thanks to photofiend358 for the hospitality, fritatas and the cuppa internet. You saved my ass from freezing!

There's still enough light here that makes it tough to see, but those stars sure are pretty. That person on the corner looks they had the tripod out too.

      Great night shot.
I did the same thing from my window. Too bad my tripod is broken... Got a few decent shots none-the-less.

Nice shot. I'm so glad my building never lost power. It was way too cold to go without heat.

Great shot! It really captures everything.
A friend of ours just had a baby and were bringing him home from the hospital last night and oddly enough, just about every house in their Ronces' neighbourhood was affected... EXCEPT theirs.

This shot is amazing! I'm adding it to Torontoist's post about the power outage momentarily.

Cool. I can say that, being in one of the little pockets of light in the big dark area.
