    This 'Early Girl' is up to 14 now. Outside of some scalds, they're doing well.

      You see that little stemlet coming out of the plant between the main stem and the branch just to the right of your tomatoes? Root that and you'll have a clone of your original plant. How long is Seattle's growing season?

      Not long enough. Basically, May 15 to September 15, +/- 10 days.

      The most popular tomato cultivar out here is Early Girl. That should tell you all you need to know about how short the tomato season is.

      OTOH, the basil is doing well.
