Mid-Winter looking north

Mid-Winter looking north

Looking north from the lake's edge. You can see our tracks from snowshoeing on the lake earlier. It was around -7º, I think, with a light north breeze.

I took a photo in the same spot looking north on Midsummer's eve last year, check it out.

Walking down the Ben at dusk

Walking down the Ben at dusk

From a walk up Ben Vrackie the other day. Here you can see a couple of the mountain sheep that hang up here. I've heard they steal your food if you don't pay attention. I speedily descended in order to avoid too much nighttime walking later on.

Taken with a Canon 7D and Tokina 11-16mm f2.8.

Looking west from Craigower

Looking west from Craigower

From a walk up Craigower a couple of Sundays ago. Sunset and a cruisy walk back through the woods.

The highest peak you see is Schiehallion. In the middle is Loch Tummel. I think in the far distance is Glen Coe, but I could be wrong there.

3-shot HDR taken handheld with a Canon 7D and Tokina 11-16mm f2.8. Fiddled with in Aperture -> Photomatix Pro -> Photoshop CS5.

Sunset from Ben Vrackie's summit

Sunset from Ben Vrackie's summit

Sunset from the top of Ben Vrackie. A nice afternoon walk. Had the summit to myself. Ate a sandwich and wished I had brought a hipflask filled with whisky. Wandered back through the sheep on the slope, as it got darker and colder. Luckily Moulin Inn was waiting with some beer and a burger.

This shot is composed of 3 3-shot HDR images, merged and cropped. I fiddled in Aperture -> Photomatix Pro -> Photoshop CS5. It was taken with a Canon 7D and Tokina 11-16mm f2.8.

Fingers crossed

Fingers crossed

Slipped on a rock and my camera copped it. Anxiously trying to get the filter off to see if my 35mm 1.4 has survived.
