If you knew someone had been lying to someone else, would you tell them? What if someone had been feeding you lies about someone else? Would you let the other person know what was being said about them? Would you change your response if knowing the truth would rip your world apart? Would you want to know the truth if it would hurt and cause problems and reveal to you things you've probably suspected all along but never wanted to find out they were true?

I believe that the truth, either sooner or later, always surfaces... whether or not it's good to know beforehand, well, that's another story.

I can only answer the last question with any conviction. Yes. I always want to know the truth about everything, up front, no matter how painful, disruptive, or disappointing it is. I've learned first hand that being lied to, especially by somebody you trust, can be much more painful than any of the causes & effects surrounding the lie.

Romi: I agree... and it's always ugly in the end, no matter how it's handled.
Zero: Deception is horrible. I'm sick about what I know and I hate that sharing what I know will undoubtedly end friendships and relationships. Of course, I have to ask myself if a person is really a friend if they're so easily able to be so deceitful. Is it a relationship worth having?

I'm a little uncertain about answering that, not sure if it was meant to be rhetorical, but my response would be to do what feels right. I get the impression you're a person with a relatively sound moral and spiritual compass; so let your heart guide you, and handle the repercussions as they come, with dignity.

Great photo and even better question about honesty. The liar spins their own web, and it sucks that they spun it around you. Shame on them. Hang in there and like Zero said, follow your heart. I know it's your best guide.
