The past...

The past...

Here's a little story, about this photo.

I must have been some 27 years of age here, that would be more than twenty years ago today, should be safe now to put my face on Flickr!

I was doing make-up, for Dutch television then.
I worked with a team of girls, and for promotional purposes, one collegue, who was befriended with a well know photographer, you know..... used her charmes, and organised for us to get photographed.

I didn't have a car, so I always cycled in Amsterdam.
Totally sweaty and hair in all directions I arrived at the studio.
Did my fixing up hair and face.
So I thought.

Concentrating and fully prepared for the camera, waiting on the side, a collegue stopped me and told me, it wasn't nearly enough.... what I was wearing, you'll look like shit uh on a photo that is.
I think she was talking mm's make up here?

Good Samarithan did my face all over again. The work was desperately needed.

Then..... I felt like shit, haha.
No really, I couldn move my mouth, talking about the crypt keeper ;-D
So alls well that ends well.....

What necklace were you wearing that day?
I was asked by my Good...well you know what, a week after the event.
Totall silence, and then sort of panic. It was not okay, that was clear.

I reacted in the most rewarding way possible.
'Necklace...???, But I wasn't wearing anything. '
'Oh well, thats odd, I thought I saw something there....'.
Yes you did honey, that was MY NECK.

Then I knew, I'm not the personification of Television.
Don't understand the game, total twit, in this case.
Run away, as far away as possible, go live on a farm, and use non or the most inivsible make up you can think of apart from character.

I don't think that all the people working in this brand are like this.
Thank goodness.

We would never be confronted with another wrinkle in our lives, and would that be fun?

I have learned so much, mostly who I don't want to be.
When I wiggle to the pony's in the morning, wearing my pyjamas, morning-gown, and thén Carlo's coat and his boots!

You should see me now.

Shitty

Shitty

I so much enjoy the company of our oldest cat.

We don't know for sure, but he must be twenty at this time.

Thinking back, he was very young when I met him, like five years old.
I didn't give it a thought, then.

Now I'm thinking.
And enjoying his total relaxed, well being.
A bit of food, sun, and most of all quiet.

He sort of just IS.
He's living.
No mood swings, no temper, no nothing.
Just Being.

Not begging for food.
He can sit for two whole hours next to his nap.
Not saying a word.
Waiting for me.
I'm glad he's not miauwing, cause he doesn't know how to.
Never learned.

Sounds like somebody's getting strangled.
He doesn't hear himself.
He doesn't know a lot anymore, except, being fine, warm and fed.
We'll provide for that, you be sure.

I'm certain, that when you're not here anymore..
I'l see your shadow, somewhere on my left side, in a corner of my eye, all the time
I know it must be you, how can it not be?

Hot Butt

Hot Butt

Not a victim.
Thank goodness.

Just finding the utmost right place to lie down.
In front of my wheel, seems to be the best place.

Thats odd, considering there is a 3200 square meters of places to 'lie down'.

Silly cat.

Spook

Spook

This is S.P.O.O.K.
A stray kitten.
Came to live with us, for two months.
What a Photo.

Still, I'm somewhere in the proud area.
Sacha took this picture, trying to capture a very fast, shy, strange to people kitten.
Well done Sacha.
For the first time Spook on the internet.
(I feed him twice a day, gave him a crib, water and he decided to stay.)

Wheelchair

Wheelchair

My husband got himself a wheelchair.
Somewhere down the road, just found it.

First the children played with it.
Then my husband spoke to me, from the wheelchair.
Barbeque nights, sitting outside nights,
Talkin to eachother.
Husband sits in this comfortable chair.

(I discovered, the chair in which you sit, makes a lot of difference in a conversation...)

Now the cats have taken over.
Roos, now seeking the company of another adult, kids... enough is enough!
She says 'Ghhhgggg', everytime a child comes near.
And Shitty, as deff and blind as old cats get.
He just feels a presence, I believe, of another warm, small body.

(Totally scared him to death with a peace of sausage this week.
Poor cat never heard me coming.)
I am fully comprehending the bad hearing thing, having to have myself those things in my ears, I now approach
him only frontally.
In the chair whatever.

He reads lips.
When his eyes are open that is.
.
