I've recently been playing around with different lighting setups with Kim (pictured). This photo is a very basic two light butterfly setup. The key light is positioned about three feet in front, about 4 feet above and angled at 45 degrees towards Kim. The second "hair light" is three feet behind her and three feet to the right (shot at 45 degrees to her) and at head level. I'm happy with how this photo turned out. If I were to shoot it again, I would make sure to add a reflector below Kim to reduce some of the shadows in the eyes and under the nose.
