Hops

    The most beautiful flower in the world! That wonderful aroma is what give beer its distinctive nose! Hard to believe that we in Britain managed without the hop until the late Middle Ages - all sorts of other flavourings for beer were tried - it seems such an integral part of a pint now. Taken outside the Red Lion at Stathern, Leics.

      having never seen a hops before, i will withhold judgement on it being the most beautiful flower in the world. however, i will grant you that image is deserving of some praise for it's composition and the beauty of the background colours ;)
