Centre Pompidou frame.
|
I always thought that the Pompidou
center in Paris was a really interesting
building. To maximize space inside many
of the service elements (plumbing, HVAC
etc.) were put on the outside of the
building. Then they were colored to
represent their different functions.
From the outside you could see many of
the details of the inner workings of the
building that are normally hidden.
I thought it would be interesting to do
that with a bicycle frame. Kind of like
a drawing that you could ride.
Hence, the Centre Pompoidiu frame,
clearcoated and annotated to reveal some
of the inner details that are normally
hidden by paint.
