Imagine by fatmanwalking

Imagine

As the nation laps up with glee the bickerings of our numerous pin brained politicians resulting from an icon's comment of being an Indian first and then a Maharashtrian, I claim, in the same vein, to be an Earthling first, and then an Indian, however uncool 'Earthling' might sound. I won't take it one step further because I am not equipped with a brain capable of handling a thought that vast.
(For the wider audience, Maharashtra is one of India's geographic states)

Imagine there's no countries,
it isn't hard to do,
nothing to kill or die for,
and no religion too.
Imagine all the people,
living life in peace.

You may say I'm a dreamer
but I'm not the only one
I hope some day you'll join us,
and the world will live as one.

I'm Free by fatmanwalking

I'm Free

But, what is freedom? Is any one of us really free in today's world? I choose not to think about it to prevent a massive collapse inside my skull. But, it is, surely, worth a thought.

This is McLeodganj. Somewhere near the monastery. I miss the peace.

We Didn't Start The Fire by fatmanwalking

We Didn't Start The Fire

And, again, it's that time of the year. Diwali.
No rants this time around. Just a message to all the cracking, educated persons of my generation who can read this: what good is that education if you turn a blind eye to the obvious impact that the degenerate ways of 'celebrating' this festival have. And if this is just a way to have fun, to break away from the so called monotony of life, what life do you have?

Of course, you didn't start the fire. You didn't light it. But, won't you try to fight it?

Technicalities - not really edited much, except for a minor contrast push. Clicked from the terrace of H9, on a truly memorable evening. To those who'd understand, "H 9! H 9!" Hence, also dedicated to Madan and Doshi, to the football team who won 9-0, and to the opposition football team, who I shall not name, who faced a lot more than just the 9 goal barrage.
