The ONLY acceptable location for a pickle...
is on an italian. Not only did I not say no when the girl asked if I wanted pickles, I even piled them back on as they fell off while I was eating the sandwich!
By the way, this is a classic italian (sans meat, of course) from Toziers. You gotta love it. Squishy white roll, green peppers, lettuce, american cheese, tomatoes, and pickles, all slathered in oil. Freshly made for $2.25. Can't beat that.

This looks delicious to me. No one around here knows what an "italian" is. They go by Hoagies, and sometimes they are on rock hard rolls which are highly regarded and known as Sarcones. I go for the "buns" as true South Philly people tell me.

The squishy white "bun" is definitely a must for a good italian. Did you ever get to make italians with me at Nanny's house? Make your own italians and make your own ice cream sundaes... classic summer fare.

Definitely, make your own italians was the best. Nothing like getting it exactly how you want it.
