What if you want to shoot a great cityscape from a point where thousands of tourists and pros are taking pictures every day? Well, you have to do something special. For example, catch some special light.
That’s why I got up at 3:30 am to be on location at 4:00 am waiting for the sun to rise behind the towers of Tallinn Lower Town. I wanted to shoot cityscape with direct sun in the frame. I was lucky to have some clouds in the sky so the view was lively enough.
I have taken a number of pictures from both of Old Town viewpoints, and then the sun was covered by a cloud. I expected 15 – 20 minutes without light and went to shoot some ladders and doorways in the Upper Town. But after that I have found out that something has changed.
It has come from nowhere. There was no sign of the fog just half an hour ago, but now it has come and covered everything. The towers just 100 meters far were no more visible. It was pure miracle that everything has changed so fast.

Oh, you've found a nice shpot to shoot Tallin! Unfortunately last year when I was there it was rainy and I didn't get anything even alike to this. It means I'll have to go back. :) Beautiful photo!
