I basically opened the image and started messing with settings until I like it.
I've now decided on the following order for de-light polluting my image: 1.) Color balance. More blue, cyan & green. Basically converting orangish-light pollution to bluish-night sky. 2.) Increase Brightness/Contrast. Makes more stars "pop". 3.) Play with levels. .... more stuff to make things look a little more natural 4.) Mess with Noise filters to fake noise reduction
And you're done! Basically, this is a way of taking light pollution to your advantage by coloring it.
You would be amazed by how a few clicks in color balance turns the orange haze to a beautiful night blue.

very nice. You actually see some of the lesser magnitude stars too. How did you clean out the light pollution so well in photoshop?
