Friends Tim O’Nan, Thomas McCann and Ben Gubitz of Costa Mesa, Calif., joined in the solving fun on Saturday, Dec. 20, when a Guinness World Record was unofficially broken for the most people solving Rubik’s Cubes in one hour. Gubitz was the 75th person to solve, tying the previous record. O’Nan was the 76th person to solve, beating the record. In total, 96 people successfully solved the Rubik’s Cube in one hour, under Taco Bell Discovery Science Center’s giant Cube structure.
