    One of the protesters waving the Egyptian Flag during the uprising that started on January 25, 2011 in Cairo's Tahrir Square.

    Protestors demanded the removal of the regime and for Hosni Mubarak to step down.
    Mubarak resigned on February 11, 2011 and the Military took control.
    More than 800 were killed and 5000 injured throughout the entire 18 days.

    This picture has been chosen as the winning photograph of the 2011 IFES Photography Contest and has been featured in tens of articles.
