Fave! Rule Five! Do you really want more comment? O.K. here we go. Perfect in every aspect of photography. Great exposure! Perfect use of lines and textures and colors and composition! And an exceptional idea with this person behind the glass. This is one of the best pictures I've seen in all of my life.

Only point is why you used HDR on this one, which introduces so many artifacts.

From the MiRea's Realm Group, you are given a 7/7 ranking.

Thanks, all!

@Reini, thanks for the nice ranking and compliment. I used HDR because the original shot was really contrasty, and adjustments to it introduced similar noise and artifacts...I figured as long as I was going to try to overcome some of the contrastiness, I might as well use gently applied HDR to bring out more of the detail in the glass.

Very unusual but a great idea - the glass really adds an interesting element to what would have been a great beach shot anyway.

quite original!

however i'd prefer no brand on the glass, but it's nice!

I absolutely love this photo. It's cheeky way of combining different subject matters, as if in some Dali painting, is hugely intriguing and even though it's not a perfect photo the overall effect has definitely won me over!

I especially like the little blue section at the bottom right of the pint glass and this mirroring the stronger blue at the top left.

NIce shot. I would have given the 7/7 if some shadow would have enhanced the glass which looks , I wonder why, like not really seating on the wooden ground...

Very interesting idea. Good focus, great composition. It looks a tad dark to me, but any lighter and it wouldn't work for the "through the glass..." quote.

this is very clever, very well composed, dunno if it was luck or not, but the crashing waves to the left are perfectly timed to add interest to the left side, countering the interest on the right....

the grainy appearance disappoints a little for me, i read your earlier comment regarding the treatment used, i'm left wondering if you could have done a different processing workflow to get a nice clear result, but i am a fan of sharp crisp clean images, not everyone one else needs that...:)....

would like to see the original, pre prcessing...

From the MiRea's Realm Group, you are given a 6/7 ranking.

Very nice. I like the use of the glass as a "lens" very much. And the HDR is well done, especially bringing out the detail in the wood.
