Another Day in Paradise

    Jost van Dyke in the BVI. White Bay from Soggy Dollar Bar's beach. We spent New Years Eve here at the campground. It was the best New Year's ever!

      I love how the catamaran fits into the frame of the palm leave. You've got everything covered here - palm trees, a couple frolicking, some nice boats and crystal clear water. Great framing. Would make an excellent postcard or stock image.

      Very nice! I like the color of the vegetation and the water looks very inviting. The framing is good, but I think I would have made it a little smaller by moving a bit forward, or made a little tighter crop, at the moment the "frame" covers most of the image. It's good that the mast and the people are not covered.

      I actually thought a lot about this picture while I was taking it. I was looking for the ultimate island post card. I was also a little hammered from drinking Pain Killers so I didn't want to spend too much time on the setup. I will experiment with cropping and see what happens. Thanks for all the comments.

      I'm not sure that it would work as a postcard - they tend to be cheesy which this isn't ;o)

      I rather like the framing - and the view is enough to make me want to go off and rob a bank to get there ;o)
