At least you had good weather for it! We went up there in a panic to see them the day before they were to be removed and it pissed down. Loads of people there, though, all with the same thought as us - turned out they'd (it'd?) been featured on Radio 4 the previous day.

Any word on how long they'll be there for?

The best guess is they are "safe" in present form till Feb 2007 due to tide and weather conditions being unsuitable for their removal.
