Oh, I had to evict one just like that from our house, two nights ago.
I'm sure they come straight back in once my back's turned.

It's that time of year. I've been told that keeping your house cold helps keep them away.

pfft.

Ours are MUCH bigger than your puny specimen.
Strangely we had 3 massive ones around the house a few weeks ago but when I got my new camera they all went in to hiding. Camerashy spidders.

Aaaiiieee!!

I lived in the UK for a few years and have never seen bigger/scarier spiders before or since. How did you get rid of it? Or, did you just let it be?

That thing is on the loose. I While I put my camera away (lovely preciousss) I left a beaker over it so I could then carryout a disposal procedure. When I returned ithad GONE!!!
It is a weightlifting spider and he and its friends will take over the World.
It was about 5cms across(2 and a bit inches maybe). but is now probably MUCH MUCH bigger.

woooaaaaaaaaaaah.
I used to live with those critters. I had so many of them in my old house (thank god I moved) and I squished one of them by accident by putting my hand on my pillow when I sat down on my bed.
Screeeaaaam!!

While visiting a friend, I took my shoes and socks off and left them by the door. I put them back on when I went to leave, but felt something oddly cold under the arch of my foot when I stepped out the door. I sat on the stoop, taking my shoe off, not thinking too much about it...when I pulled the sock off, the fearsome twin of the creature above furiously jumped out at my face. That's as close as I've ever come to having a heart attack.

Check your socks...twice.

Another one:
My younger sister had green spider in her ear and we couldn't get it out. It took us some time and we had to use a tweezer and pulled it out in pieces. Leg by leg. Now that's freaky.
But other than me, she now LOVES spiders and little critters. Maybe that's what you call a shock therapy.

I want to hear the fly story now.

Oh My . God. That is awful. Dreadful from beginning to end.

Ok . the fly. It hapened the same evening that I took this photo:

Keep your kitchen clean

Haviing settled down for the evening for a bit of tv, and wine, TT saw fit to bring in crisps to our snackerama. I don't realy like crisps but had some to be sociable of course. However one of the crisps seemed really chewy, so i am afraid I spat it out. And it turned ot to be the fly. Well half the fly.

I think it had gone into my drink.

Wow, I'm not sure who's winning the gross-out contest you or Moufle. Personally, I find this much worse than talk of haggis and such.
