How disturbing. Sounds like a mentalist to me.

I knew someone who always had to leave a bit of something on her plate. Always. And of all my friends she was also the most likely to go postal.
Coincidence? You decide.

Gosh. I hope this does not mean I am going to have to shell out cash on therapy.
What does 'go postal' mean? Does the person dress up in the uniform of a postie?

I'm afraid you will indeed be shelling out an enormous amount of money on therapy, Dr.
In my opinion leaving cake is a sure sign of very deep mental problems and can only be interpreted as a cry for help. Or more cream.

"Going postal" frequently involves postman unifoms, and can be brought on suddenly. Remove firearms from the house.

Has the patient recently found out where *that* guitar had been?

Thats a relief, actually. I thought I may have over-stepped the mark by calling your kin mentalists. People can be touchy about things like that.

I'm beginning to think that it may be a hereditary condition, and that you may have already caught mentalism from Miles. So I advise you to finish your cake, even if you are feeling full.
I enjoy your photos so much it would be a shame if you couldn't press the shutter-release because your arms were confined in a huggy jacket.

I conseider being one of a line of mentalists as being in the tradition of dada-ists, environmentalists, sociologists. All 'ists' must be good. (Even cyclists.)

It is a very wonderful thing to say that you enjoy my photos DM and definitely worth breaking my diet for. I will buy cakes, make cakes, steal cakes from window sills. And I will eat them all up.

He's probably right. The chap has left me a testimonial so is clearly a man of taste and distinction and not to be triffled with.
