In Mid Air by Drippy2009

In Mid Air

No time! No time! One from the archives...

Ok.. So you drop a single droplet of water into a pool.. a spout forms and from the top of the spout a droplet launches into the air. While it's hanging around working out which way is down the spout collapses beneath it and you hit that droplet with another drop coming down.

Yellow dyed water into black dyed water, 2 vivitar flashes behind the splash firing through frosted perspex with purple gel.
Triggered flashes with a manual push button hooked into pc-sync adaptors.

Copley Square by Drippy2009

Copley Square

Copley Square, named for the American portraitist John Singleton Copley (1738 – 1815), is a public square located in the Back Bay neighborhood of Boston, Massachusetts. A bronze statue of Copley, by sculptor Lewis Cohen, is located on the northern side of the square. The name Copley Square is frequently applied to the larger area extending approximately two blocks east and west along Boylston Street, Huntington Avenue, and St. James Avenue. The square is adjacent to the finish line of the Boston Marathon, which is commemorated by a monument in the park.

Behind the statue of John Copley is the John Hancock Tower.

And yes I do like the converging verticals!

John Hancock Tower by Drippy2009

John Hancock Tower

The John Hancock Tower as seen from outside the public library.

Took ages to get it so the flag was showing!

No HDR, just curves and a light high-pass filter.

Nahant HDR Sunset by Drippy2009

Nahant HDR Sunset

I'm doing all kinds of shots on this trip! First a handheld shot from the airplane, then a long exposure night shot, now a HDR sunset. Taken from Nahant, Massachusetts. You can just see the skyscrapers of Boston in the distance. Didnt have any time to setup, work called me as I was about to leave the hotel and ended up rushing here just as the sun was going down.

Not completely happy with the rocks they came out much greyer than RL.

Hope you like it :)
