Astride
Posing with the new toy / mode of transport. Waterloo to Gower St in less than 15 minutes, beating the bus by a mile.
Cycling in London CommentsW i l d e r n e s s g a l says:If you don't mind me asking Matt, what brand
is your most incredible folding bike and
where exactly did you get it? Drift Words says:It's a Dahon Mu P8, which does exactly what it says on the tin:
"wonderfully light, fast enough for long
weekend rides, and stylish enough to turn
heads everywhere". I bought it at my local bike shop. EDIT December 08: credit crunched, or
something, but closed now. W i l d e r n e s s g a l says:Hhhhmmm, never heard of that? Drift Words says:Bugger. My lovely bike got nicked! I tootle
out of my evening class (Chinese, not as hard
as they say, but very slow progress thanks)
to jump on the ride to the mainline station,
but where is it? There was the big empty
space where I parked and locked it two hours
earlier. There was the crappy lock, lying by
the Gower St railings, cut like a stupid bit
of string. Apart from the shock and insult, I
had to take the tube home, the indignity of
it, ugh. This photo is now part of a Crime
Report. My chances of seeing it again, in the
metal as it were, are minuscule. Sh!t.
W i l d e r n e s s g a l says:Oh my that's beyond awful... sorry. Hopefully
they will be found and your most lovely bike
will be returned! : )
Drift Words says:I very much doubt it, but thanks anyway.
