Independence Day

Independence Day by DrewMyers.
This image has been featured on www.intute.ac.uk/artsandhumanities/cgi-bin/limelight.pl?i...

Thomas Jefferson is one of my favorite Americans, one of the authors and signers of the declaration of independence and is the principle architect of American democracy.

I combined 2 photos here: One is a statue of Thomas Jefferson from the grounds of the Virginia capitol building in Richmond, the other is a photo of my copy of the declaration of independence that hangs in my living room. I isolated Jefferson from the other surrounding founding fathers and superimposed him over the declaration.

Every American should read the Declaration of Independence at least once. If you would like to read the declaration of independence, follow this link: www.ushistory.org/Declaration/document/index.htm

I'm playing Thomas Jefferson right now in a production of the musical "1776" -- he was a remarkable, brilliant man.

Awesome Photoshop job on this btw -- well done!
