Boots kiosk apps 1997 |
Boots Sunshop kiosk application.
Prototyped in several UK stores
throughout 1996, this Authorware
application was developed by Paul
Fillingham and Ian Lawrence at Cross
Hill Conwill, Nottingham and mastered by
Symbiosis in Leamington Spa. The CD-ROM
based system ran on a Compaq PC equipped
with a touch-screen monitor, and was
housed in a vacuum-molded point-of-sale
kiosk.
The user-interface was designed to work
in a retail environment and featured
large-scale buttons and TV-style
graphics. Behind the scenes, statistical
data was captured on the host PC for
future analysis.
